I Owe You One-Goodreads Review

I Owe You One

I Owe You One
Author: Sophie Kinsella

Tone: First person, Humorous, Contemporary Romance
Take Away:  Sophie Kinsella’s first person heroines are bursting with personality, good intentions, and human foibles. As always, I was swept up by Fixie Farr’s hopes, dreams, catastrophes, and triumphs. I cringed, cheered, worried, and laughed. I didn’t want to put the book down!
How I discovered this title: The Shopaholic series turned me into a Sophie Kinsella fan! I follow her newsletter so I always know when she releases a new book.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When Fixie Farr rescues a handsome stranger’s laptop, she refuses any reward. Undaunted, he gives her an IOU written on a disposable coffee cup sleeve. After Fixie’s occasional boyfriend convinces her to redeem it, she thinks the matter resolved and her encounter a mere blip. However, one IOU leads to another and ever increasing entanglement in each other’s lives. Despite Fixie’s occasionally jumbled logic and flawed assumptions, her ultimately heartwarming intentions make her an endearing character. I’d love to meet her for coffee! FYI-This book contains sexual situations.
